Photo Keychains, Prints, or Magnets: Wedding Favors Guests Actually Keep

Walk through a reception hall at the end of the night and you will find the favors. Little boxes of candy, monogrammed coasters, and tiny jars of honey, chosen with real care and left behind on half the tables. It is not that guests did not appreciate them. It is that a favor has to compete with a coat, a car key, and a long day, and most of them lose.
The favors that do make it home tend to have one thing in common: the guest’s own face is on them. Here is how the photo favors compare, from the classic strip to the keychain, so that you can choose the one your guests will actually keep.
What makes a favor survive the night
After a lot of weddings, the pattern is easy to see. A favor goes home when it is personal, when it was made in the moment rather than set out on the table before anyone arrived, and when it has somewhere to live afterward, whether that is a refrigerator door, a frame, or a set of keys.
A photo from the booth checks all three. Every guest makes their own, with the people they wanted beside them, in the outfit they spent weeks choosing, and it comes with a memory of the moment it was taken rather than a memory of finding it at their seat.
The photo strip
The 2×6 strip is the one everybody pictures when they hear photo booth, with three frames down a strip of paper and your names and date along the bottom. It is small enough to go straight into a pocket or a clutch, which is a big part of why it makes it home, and it tends to end up tucked into a mirror frame or stuck to a refrigerator for years.
With us, everyone in the frame gets their own strip, every time they step in. A group of six never has to decide who keeps it, and nobody leaves without one because they were standing on the end.

The 4×6 print
The 4×6 is a single, larger photo with your design on it, and it is the one people frame. It suits a group shot, since everyone is bigger in the picture, and it suits the guests who want one proper photo from the night rather than three fun ones.
On the Glam Booth, the AI Booth, and the Keychain Booth your guests choose the strip, the 4×6, or one of each at the booth, so that nobody is stuck with a size you picked for two hundred people. The Classic Booth prints the strip.

The photo keychain
This is the favor people are still carrying years later, because it goes on something they use every day. At our Keychain Booth, guests step into the booth as usual, then walk a few feet to a second station where their photo is sealed into a real keychain and handed over while they wait.
It is a proper object rather than a novelty. A leather fob, a brass ring, and the photo sealed under a clear disc, with fob colors chosen to suit your wedding. Each one takes a couple of minutes, assembled by hand by a second attendant, and guests tend to stand and watch it being made, which is half of why it works.

A hundred keychains come with the booking, and more can be added in blocks of twenty five. Tell us your guest count and we will tell you honestly whether a hundred covers it, because running out halfway through the night is the one thing that spoils this favor. Guests still get their prints as well, so the keychain is on top of a full booth rather than instead of one.

Photo magnets
Photo magnets are a favorite for good reason, since the refrigerator door is where a lot of booth photos end up anyway. A magnet puts the photo there on purpose, where the whole household sees it every day, and it is a lovely fit for a wedding where plenty of guests are families.
We can make photo magnets too. They are not listed on our pricing page, so mention them when you tell us about your event, and we will talk through how they would work for your guest count and your night.
How they compare
If you are weighing them side by side, this is the short version.
- The photo strip. Fits in a pocket, ends up on a mirror or a refrigerator, and comes with every booth we run.
- The 4×6 print. The one that gets framed, and a guest’s choice at the booth on most of our booths.
- The photo keychain. Goes on a set of keys and gets carried every day, made on the spot at a second station.
- The photo magnet. Lives on a refrigerator door where the whole household sees it, and available from us on request.
Do you still need other favors?
Plenty of couples skip table favors entirely once the booth is booked, and the money goes somewhere guests will notice more. Others keep something small and edible at each place setting, because not every guest will step into the booth, and a grandparent who spends the night at the table still leaves with something.
Both are reasonable. What helps most is an attendant who makes the booth feel inviting to everyone rather than only the friends who head straight for it, so that the guests who hang back at first end up with a print too. That is a big part of what ours are there for, and it is why the same group so often comes back for a second and a third round.
Photo favors beyond weddings
The same thinking works at almost any event. At a company party, the keychain carries your logo onto every employee’s keys, which is more than anyone can say for the branded pens. At a milestone birthday or an anniversary, a print with the occasion’s name on it is the keepsake every generation in the room takes home. At a charity walk or a fundraiser, the keychain is the thing your supporters still have on their keys next spring.
Choosing the right one for your wedding
If a print on the way out is enough, a simpler booth will serve you well and cost less, and every guest still leaves with a favor in hand. If you love the idea of a photo on every refrigerator door, ask us about magnets. If you want the favor to travel with your guests every day, the Keychain Booth is the one that does it.
The Keychain Booth starts at $1,995, the AI Booth at $1,495, the Glam Booth at $1,195, and the Classic Booth at $995, each for three hours with an attendant, a print for every person in the photo, a backdrop, and a print designed for your wedding. If you are still deciding whether a booth belongs at your reception at all, read is a photo booth worth it at your wedding, or see the Keychain Booth for more of the keychains themselves.
Tell us your date and roughly how many guests you are expecting, and we will tell you which favor fits your night.
